CHEMIPOL® IC range includes a series of formulations developed to treat and protect the components of the cooling system that are in contact with water.

Semi-open cooling circuits

CHEMIPOL IC 100
Serie of corrosion inhibitors

The series IC 100 is integrated by formulations based on combinations of inorganic phosphorous and silicate, especially developed to inhibit corrosion and scale in drinking water lines. They comply with the UNE-EN standards.

Advantages:

  • Multifunctional properties controlling corrosion and scaling.
  • They form a protective film on metal surfaces.

Application:

  • Single-pass open circuits and potable water lines.
  • Cooling circuits.
  • Evaporative condensers.

CHEMIPOL IC 200
Serie of corrosion inhibitors

IC 200 series is integrated by formulations combining organic or inorganic zinc, molybdates, phosphorus, azoles and polymers. Are especially developed for inhibiting corrosion, avoid scale formation and fouling.

Advantages:

  • Active controlling corrosion of metals: steel, cast iron, aluminum, galvanized copper and their alloys.
  • Effective in waters from very corrosive to highly encrusting.
  • Dispersing properties of inorganic solids and suspension particles.
  • Resistant to chlorine, high temperatures and extreme pH.

Application:

  • Cooling circuits.
  • Evaporative condensers.

CHEMIPOL IC 300
Serie of corrosion inhibitors

IC 300 series are integrated by products combining mixtures of zinc, molybdates, organic or inorganic phosphorous, azoles and polymers. They are specially developed to inhibit corrosion, prevent fouling and dirt.

Advantages:

  • Active controlling corrosion of metals: steel, cast iron, aluminum, galvanized copper and their alloys.
  • Effective in waters from very corrosive to highly encrusting.
  • Dispersing properties of inorganic solids and suspension particles.
  • Resistant to chlorine, high temperatures and extreme pH.

Application:

  • Cooling circuits.
  • Evaporative condensers.

CHEMIPOL IC 400
Serie of corrosion inhibitors

IC 400 series is integrated by formulations based on blends of zinc, phosphates, phosphonates, azoles and organic polymers. Are especially recommended for controlling corrosion of cooling circuits containing copper and its alloys.

  • Especially effective inhibiting corrosion of copper and its alloys.
  • Effective in waters from very corrosive to highly encrusting.
  • Dispersing properties of inorganic solids and suspension particles.
  • Resistant to chlorine, high temperatures and extreme pH.

CHEMIPOL IC 500
Serie of corrosion inhibitors

IC 500 series includes products based on combinations of zinc, phosphates, phosphonates, azoles and organic polymers, especially developed to control corrosion in cooling circuits containing copper and its alloys.

  • Especially effective inhibiting corrosion of copper and its alloys.
  • Effective in waters from very corrosive to highly encrusting.
  • Dispersing properties of inorganic solids and suspension particles.
  • Resistant to chlorine, high temperatures and extreme pH.

Closed cooling circuits

CHEMIPOL IC 300
Serie of corrosion inhibitors

IC 300 series includes multifunctional formulations based on molybdates, nitrites, azoles, sequestering agents, antifouling and dispersing agents. They are especially developed to inhibit the corrosion of steel, iron, copper and their alloys.

Advantages:

  • Multifunctional properties.
  • Effective in demineralized water, osmotized and low hardness. Works in tap water systems.

Application:

  • Hot and cold cooling circuits.
  • Diesel engine circuits.
  • Primary cogeneration circuit.

CHEMIPOL IC 1355
Multifunctional corrosion inhibitor

Formulation based on molybdate and inhibitors specific for copper and its alloys. Especially suitable in circuits with a high amount of aluminum.

Advantages:

  • Multifunctional properties: anticorrosive, antifouling and dispersing.
  • Especially effective in demineralized water, osmotized or low hardness systems. Suitable for tap water systems.

Application:

  • Hot and cold closed cooling circuits.
  • Engine cooling circuits.

CHEMIPOL IC 1465
Multifunctional organic corrosion inhibitor

Formulations of different corrosion inhibitors based on carboxylic acids, especially developed to protect steel surfaces, aluminum, copper and welds.

Advantages:

  • Multifunctional properties.
  • Does not produce negative effects on non-metallic surfaces.
  • Can be used in combination with glycols.
  • Low toxicity.
  • Biodegradable.

Application:

  • Closed cooling circuits.
  • Car engine cooling systems.
  • Primary heating circuits.

CHEMIPOL IC 2000
Series of filming corrosion inhibitors

IC 2000 series includes formulations based on organic compounds with filming and dispersing properties to protect metallic surfaces made of steel, aluminum, copper and their alloys.

Advantages:

  • Multifunctional properties.
  • Coats metallic surfaces with a film, protecting them against corrosion.
  • Inhibits salts scale on surfaces.

Applications:

  • Closed cooling circuits.
